I trashed my body for years trying to set records in competition (Powerlifting & Kettlebell Sport). And while I did reach high rankings, I wasn’t fully aware of the long term damage my training (and mindset around obtaining my goals at all costs) was causing until it was too late. I was forced to take multiple months off almost yearly to rest and heal from burn out, injuries, and plateaus.
That was until I learned a better way of achieving and experiencing high performance results that also extend far beyond what takes place on the competition platform.
Now, after over 20 years as an elite athlete, 15+ years as strength coach and educator to thousands of people, I know exactly what the pursuit of fitness and high performance using traditional methods does to the body, and why a more integrative, balanced approach is so needed. While the road was painful at times, it taught me a lot that I'm grateful for and excited to share with you.
