If you're considering the private work, you already know why. You've been at this a long time, and what got you here isn't carrying you the way it used to. The relationship that's been off for years. The nervous system that's been running hot since you were a kid. The pattern you keep ending up in no matter how much you've read about it.

You've done some work. Groups, retreats, therapy, books. Some of it has helped, and you're not starting from zero. What you're looking for now is depth, privacy, and somebody who can stay with you long enough for the next layer to actually move.

This is the most personal work I do. No more than three private clients at any one time, five months each, and the whole thing is built around who you are and what's actually in the way.

The Work

Release, rebuild, lead.

The work has a consistent shape. Release what's running underneath, rebuild from the body up, lead from there. What changes in the private container is how custom it gets. The pace, the entry point, the specific terrain we walk, all of it gets built around you and what's actually in the way.

The first stretch is almost always about the nervous system. By the time you come to this work, chances are you've been running on output for so long there's no baseline to come back to. Before we go anywhere else, we build one. Daily practice, breath, movement, and the kind of regulation that holds up when life pushes back on it.

From there the work goes wherever it needs to. Story work, breath, the body, the relationship, the father wound, the way you lead at home and at work. We go where the heat is and we stay there until something actually moves.

By the end you're leading from a different place. Not performing it. Living it.

Phase One

Release

Regulate the nervous system. Release what's been driving the patterns underneath. Establish the daily practice that holds you for the rest of the work.

Phase Two

Rebuild

Story work, body work, breath, and the deeper terrain underneath the patterns. We work where the actual heat is in your life and stay with it until it moves.

Phase Three

Lead

You carry the new ground into your partner, your work, your family. The shift becomes visible to the people around you because it's already real in you.

How The Five Months Run

The rhythm.

The five months run on a steady rhythm. Two private sessions a month, two hours each, on a fixed schedule we set up front.

The sessions run two hours, not one. An hour is enough to start something. It isn't enough to finish it. Two hours lets the work actually move.

A third session each month is available if the work calls for it. It doesn't roll over if it isn't used.

Weekly Check-In

On the off weeks you send in a written check-in. I read it, sit with it, and send back personalized feedback, practices, and reflections built off where you actually are that week. The work doesn't pause just because we're not on a call.

Direct Access

WhatsApp is open throughout. Audio messages, journal entries, questions, things that come up at ten at night. If something urgent lands between sessions, I make time for a short call to help you navigate it. Anything deeper we hold for the next session.

The Grounded King

The Private Retreat

Four days, just you.

Three nights, fully private, built entirely around you.

The retreat is the heart of the five months. We hold it on Tim Corcoran's land near Mount Shasta, on a friend's land in the Santa Cruz Mountains, or at a private home in the Bay Area, depending on what the work calls for and what the logistics support. You fly into the nearest airport and we handle the rest from there. Everything is as warm as possible from the moment you land.

My wife Lauren, who is a private chef, designs and cooks every meal for the four days, built around your body, your goals, and what your system actually needs while you're in this work. The food is part of the medicine.

No two retreats look the same. The arc, the practices, the pace, and the work itself are all built around you and where you are by the time we get there. What follows is one shape it can take.

Grounding and settling.

A movement session, a walk in nature, time to clarify what you came here for, and the slow work of separating from the life you flew in from.

Day TwoDepth

The deepest day.

Somatic work, breathwork, story work, pattern work, all tailored to what's actually in the way for you.

Refining the practice.

We take what opened the day before and refine it into something that travels home with you. The practices, the daily rhythm, and the personalized program you're leaving with.

Day FourIntegration

Closing and return.

A closing ceremony, time in nature, an open conversation about what's next, and then we send you home.

Movement happens every day. Ceremony is there where the moment calls for it. You leave with a personalized program built for your body, daily practices built for your nervous system, and a clear sense of what the next chapter of your life looks like. The retreat can be held at any point in the five months, and we time it together based on where the work is.

Why only three.

I only take three private clients at a time. The depth this work asks for doesn't survive scale, and I'd rather do it well with a few than spread it thin across many.

If I say yes to you, it's because I genuinely want to walk these five months with you. We'll spend a lot of time together, so the match has to be right. What I'm looking for is a willingness in you to take ownership of your life, prioritize this in your schedule, and show up ready to be challenged and called forward.

How This Begins

The first steps.

i.

The application.

It starts with a written application. It's not long, but the questions are deliberate, and how you answer them tells me a lot about whether this is the right fit before we ever get on a call.

ii.

The call.

If your application lands well, we get on a call together. It's a chance for both of us to feel into whether this is the right match. I'll walk you through what to expect and how the five months would actually look for you, and you can ask me anything you want about the work, the structure, the retreat, the investment.

iii.

Intake and assessment.

If we both say yes, you'll complete an Inner Compass Nine Enneagram assessment and some intake paperwork. I use that to build the plan we'll start with, so by the time we sit down for our first session we're not starting from scratch.

iv.

The first session.

The first session goes deep into your inner operating system. What's running underneath your patterns, your relationships, your stress, your decisions. From there, the first month is about building the daily practice that will hold you for the rest of the work. Nervous system regulation, breath, movement, the foundations of the release phase.

Questions

Questions before you apply.

How is this different from therapy?

This isn't open-ended weekly maintenance. It's a five-month deep dive with a clear arc and a specific destination. There should be noticeable change inside that window in how you carry yourself, how you relate to your partner, how you show up at work, and how you feel in your body when you wake up in the morning. Therapy has its place. This is a different container, and the two can coexist.

What if I travel a lot for work?

Most of my clients travel. The two-hour sessions are scheduled in advance and we build them into your rhythm. WhatsApp stays open through everything. The retreat we time together based on your calendar.

Can my partner be part of any of this?

The private work is yours. The retreat is yours. What changes will land in your relationship, and your partner will feel it before you do. If at some point we identify something that would be served by bringing her in for a session, we can talk about it then.

What if I'm already in another program or working with someone?

We'd talk it through on the call. The Private Work is a lot to take on, and if you've already got a lot in motion my job is to help you see clearly whether this is the right time.

What happens after the five months?

You leave with a personalized daily practice, a movement and energy program built for your body, and the capacity to keep going on your own. Shorter follow-up work is available down the road if you want it, but most don't need it.

Is the retreat included in the investment?

Yes. The retreat, the meals, my time, and the work are all part of the five-month engagement. The only thing you cover is your flight to and from.
